Chamber Music Charleston and Actors' Theatre of South Carolina
present a brand new collaboration that brings together
exceptional chamber music and world class theater in Jane
Austen’s Music & Literary Society. It is 1815 and Miss Austin
and her witty brother, Henry, are the special guests at "The
London Literary Society.” Coming from a family with a tradition
of chamber theatricals, Jane has invited some professional
musicians to play selections from Beethoven’s Sextet for
Clarinets, Bassoons and Horns in E-flat Major, Op. 71 as she and
Henry perform their favorite excerpts from Jane’s famous novel,
Pride & Prejudice. Revelations of the not-so-polite people in
the book magnified by music create a magnificent afternoon!
Veteran stage and screen actors Chris Weatherhead and Clarence
Felder portray Jane and Henry Austen.
