Dear Friends,

May is normally an exciting time for all of us connected to Chamber Music Charleston. From May 1 as our official “birthday” to the month-long National Chamber Music Month, there is much to celebrate.

But these are unprecedented and trying times for all of us. And we are asking you for your support.

Our first thoughts are with you, our extraordinary members, and supporters. With this message I send to you wishes for health and safety. Together we will get through this.

As you may know, we are rethinking everything we do so we can deliver our music and provide an avenue for comfort and joy. Between March 30 and May 11, we have been presenting a weekly “Virtual Recital” performed by our very own Chamber Music Charleston musicians. We hope to continue this tradition of bringing our musicians into your homes, albeit virtually.

We are also making bold decisions on how we will address the uncertainty of the upcoming months, to help with that I am asking you for your support.

In celebration of our wonderful world of chamber music while we stare straight in the face of a reality that threatens our ability to deliver the music we all love.

CMC is participating in the #GivingTuesdayNow fundraising initiative with a $15,000 goal. Funds raised starting on May 1 and ending May 5 will provide funding for our virtual performances and provide much needed emergency support for Chamber Music Charleston.

Thank you for being part of the Chamber Music Charleston family and thank you for your consideration to support CMC during these very trying times.
