The Board, Staff and Musicians are pleased to present to you Chamber Muisc Charleston’s 2020-2021 Season. We have an incredible series of concerts in store for you, with one particular event which we are especially pleased to announce. On Tuesday, October 13, 2020 we open our Ovation Concert Series with a performance at the newly renovated Sottile Theatre. Guest violinist Rachel Barton Pine and harpsichordist Jory Vinikour will join our musicians of CMC for a program of music including Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 and Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 95. This performance draws upon the rich history of chamber music in Charleston and explores the connection to concerts of the Saint Cecilia Society in the early 1800s. We are honored that this performance has been selected as an official partnering event of the Charleston 350 Commemoration.
The Ovation Concert Series continues with three performances at the Dock Street Theatre and feature our talented musicians performing alongside such incredible guest artists as violinists Francisco Fullana and Amy Schwartz Moretti and pianists Phillip Bush and Andrew Armstrong.
Our season also includes the ever popular House Concert Series and the continuation of the new – but highly successful – Salon Series, which has expanded to 4 concerts.
There is so much to share with you in the 2020-2021 season, and I look forward to seeing you in the audience!
