The Night Before Christmas returns Monday, December 20, 2021 at Sottile Theatre.
Performances at 1 and 3:30pm.
Program length: 45 minutes
Celebrate the most magical holiday season with a special Christmas Classical Kids Concert at the College of Charleston Sottile Theatre, 44 George Street. Sing along to favorite holiday songs and listen as well-loved stories come to life with classical music. Musicians of Chamber Music Charleston and CMC TWO perform a variety of holiday music as actors including Colin Waters of Charleston Stage retell classic Christmas tales such as “Snowman at Christmas,” “The Donkey’s Christmas Carol,” and “The Night Before Christmas.” The audience also becomes part of the performance as they join in for such well-loved holiday songs as “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” “Frosty the Snowman” and “Jingle Bells.” We will even have a special visit from “Elsa” – brought to life by Charleston’s own Laura Ball – to perform a brand-new arrangement of “Let It Go” from “Frozen.” If we are lucky, it may even snow!
Thanks to the generosity of donors to Chamber Music Charleston, we are able to offer a limited number of free tickets to students at Sanders Clyde Elementary School, Mt. Zion Elementary School, Angel Oak Elementary School and Frierson Elementary School. Use the link below to request tickets!
